This 11-day itinerary highlights the incredible diversity of Costa Rica’s Caribbean slope and highlands, combining well-known destinations with specialized birding lodges. Travelers will experience the rich lowland forests of Sarapiquí, the maze of waterways in Tortuguero, the hummingbird-filled gardens of Centro Manú, the renowned feeders and trails of Rancho Naturalista, and the pristine cloud forests of Quelitales. The focus is on variety: from toucans, macaws, manakins, and tanagers to monkeys, sloths, reptiles, amphibians, and highland endemics.
