Adventure itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Brazil

Upon your arrival in Cuiabá, you'll be transferred to your hotel, conveniently located right in front of the airport: Amazon Airport Hotel. This is the perfect place to rest and recover after your journey.

Day 2 - First steps in the Pantanal

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, you'll meet your English-speaking expert wildlife guide. From there, we'll begin a private transfer to Porto Jofre, the best place in the world to observe jaguars in the wild.

The transfer, of approximately 5 hours, takes place along the legendary Transpantaneira dirt road, which is a safari in itself. Along the way, you may encounter caimans, capybaras, a remarkable diversity of birds, and possibly deer or even anacondas.

You'll stay at one of the best lodges in the region, the Santa Rosa Hotel, ideally located for quick access to the main jaguar-watching areas, while also offering a high level of comfort after long days out.

Instead of staying in the main building, you'll be accommodated in the Jaguar Bay section, a set of independent rooms located just 5 minutes away by vehicle. This allows you to enjoy all the facilities and services of the Santa Rosa Hotel while benefiting from a more accessible rate.

Upon arrival, you'll enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out on a first private afternoon safari along the Pantanal's rivers, in search of jaguars, giant otters and other incredible species. You'll return at sunset to enjoy a delicious dinner.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Days 3 to 5 - Jaguar and wildlife safaris

During the following three full days, you'll explore the Pantanal's rivers on private full-day boat safaris, from sunrise to sunset, in search of jaguars and other wildlife.

The jaguar safaris are the centerpiece of this experience, where our expertise truly stands out.

Each day begins at sunrise, when conditions are ideal and wildlife activity is at its peak. Accompanied by an experienced local boat pilot and a private specialized guide, you'll navigate an extensive network of waterways where jaguars have established their territories.

The approach is dynamic and adapted to conditions. The goal is not just to find jaguars, but to understand their behavior: anticipating their movements and positioning the boat to offer the best angles for observation and photography.

Encounters can range from brief sightings to prolonged observations, sometimes exceeding an hour, allowing you to witness a wide range of behaviors: resting, moving along the riverbanks, swimming, and even hunting, mating or caring for cubs.

Beyond the jaguars, the Pantanal offers extraordinary biodiversity. Giant otters, capybaras, caimans and a rich birdlife are frequently seen.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 6 - Transfer to Piuval Lodge

After breakfast, we depart for Pousada Piuval, a journey of approximately four hours along the Transpantaneira.

Upon arrival, you'll have time to drop off your luggage and briefly settle in. If you wish, we can head straight out on a private afternoon safari, continuing until sunset and venturing into the night with a night safari.

With a bit of luck, we may observe tapirs, owls, foxes, raccoons or even ocelots or jaguars. Then we'll return to the lodge for dinner at Pousada Piuval.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 7 - Full day at Pousada Piuval

We'll start the day early with a private safari at sunrise, one of the best times to observe wildlife such as anteaters and a great variety of birds as the Pantanal awakens.

After breakfast at the lodge, we'll go on a private guided forest walk. This is an excellent opportunity to find species such as capuchin monkeys, marmosets and macaws, while learning more about the region's unique ecosystem.

Return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and rest time during the hottest hours of the day.

In the afternoon, we'll head out again on a private safari, exploring different habitats as the light becomes softer and wildlife activity increases. The experience continues into the night with a private night safari. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 8 - Last safaris and farewell to the Pantanal

At dawn, we'll head out for an early private safari. Our main objective will be to look for giant anteaters once again, although we may encounter a great variety of wildlife along the way.

We'll return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by another private safari during the morning. Then we'll head back to the lodge before starting our transfer to Cuiabá.

On the way, we'll make a stop in Poconé for lunch. We'll then continue to the airport, ending the trip with full memory cards and unforgettable memories of the incredible wildlife.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
