Day 1 – Welcome to Costa Rica

After your international arrival, your private guide will welcome you to start the trip near San José, at a hotel surrounded by tropical gardens. Among heliconias, orchids and butterflies, this setting offers a gentle introduction to the country's nature.

A stroll through the gardens allows a first contact with Costa Rica's biodiversity and excellent photography opportunities from the very start.

Days 2 and 3 – Tortuguero & the Caribbean canals

Accessible only by boat, Tortuguero is a total immersion in the wild Caribbean. Navigating its canals means venturing into a rainforest teeming with monkeys, sloths and waterbirds.

During the season (July to October), its black-sand beaches host nesting sea turtles, one of the country's most emblematic natural spectacles. A destination that combines lush landscapes, abundant wildlife and a true sense of isolation.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Days 4 and 5 – Arenal Volcano & tropical rainforest

With the Arenal Volcano as a backdrop, this region stands out for its biodiversity and landscapes. In the gardens, hummingbirds and oropendolas are frequent visitors, while on the forest trails it's possible to observe trogons, motmots and monkeys.

The hanging bridges offer privileged views of the canopy, ideal for photography. The experience is complemented by natural hot springs and night walks, where frogs, snakes and insects reveal the forest's activity after sunset.

Meals included: Breakfast

Day 6 – Pacific mangroves & Carara

The Tárcoles River is known for its large crocodiles, easily observed during a boat tour that also explores the mangroves, home to specialized birds and rich aquatic life.

In Carara National Park, a transitional forest between dry and humid zones, the biodiversity is exceptional. With a guide, it's possible to observe monkeys, deer and a great variety of birds. A region that combines jungle, coast and mangrove in a very complete experience.

Meals included: Breakfast

Day 7 – Uvita: A Paradise of Whales and Wildlife

The Marino Ballena National Park region combines jungle, rivers and ocean in one of the country's most spectacular coastal landscapes.

On land, trails such as those at Hacienda Barú allow you to observe monkeys, sloths and colorful birds, as well as herons, trogons and antbirds in wetland areas. At sea, it's one of the best places to see humpback whales and dolphins during their migrations (December to March and July to October). Outside the season, snorkeling, waterfalls and pristine beaches are the highlights.

Meals included: Breakfast

Days 8, 9 and 10 – Osa Peninsula and Corcovado: The Most Intense Place on Earth

The adventure continues in Drake Bay, where jungle and ocean meet. Upon arrival, a guided birdwatching walk along the forest edge, in search of scarlet macaws, hawks and tanagers.

We continue to a lodge deep in the jungle, surrounded by natural sounds: frogs at dusk, howler monkeys at dawn and constant activity in the vegetation.

Over two days we explore Corcovado National Park, considered one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Hikes through primary forest, rivers and coastal trails to Sirena Station, where we spend the night.

This is one of the best places to observe wildlife: Baird's tapir, Costa Rica's four monkey species (including the squirrel monkey), coatis, peccaries and a great diversity of birds. After the expedition, return to the lodge for one last night's rest in the jungle.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 11 – Cloud forest & quetzal

In the Talamanca mountain range lies one of the best places to observe the resplendent quetzal. This cloud forest is home to numerous high-altitude species, ideal for birdwatchers and photographers.

The lodges, surrounded by gardens and trails, make it easy to observe hummingbirds, warblers and silky-flycatchers. The cool climate and mountain landscapes make this region an unforgettable close to the trip.
